Outfit for shopping at mercadito en Honduras
Corn tamales on the road

Hello, my name is Fabi Pina. I used to talk to trees when I was little, and then I moved on to the Internet. I started my first blog, Third World Fashionista, about 7 years ago when I wanted to speak my mind about fashion (particularly vintage). Even though my main inspiration is my home country Honduras, back then, outfits that broke the rules were unacceptable. It was all about matchy-matchy, and I couldn’t settle for that. I learned to sew by attending government institutions that offer free courses for foster home girls, which opened my eyes to a world of great need for love and that it doesn’t take much to greatly impact a person’s life. It also led me to believe that art can, in many ways, change the world.

Though I’ve almost always worked in fields nowhere near related to fashion, from the accounting department of a building company to a hospital’s finance and credit office, I somehow find myself coming back to this blog. Here I share thrift shopping tips, DIYs and tutorials as well as my own personal style. With creativity you can do sooo much with a small amount of clothes, trust me!
